Senior Vice President , Chubb; President, Combined Insurance
Mr. Bennett is responsible for management and growth of Combined Insurance. He joined the company in 2012 after more than 17 years with AIG. Working primarily in Asia, he started with the company in Thailand and was responsible for agency growth and development. His most recent position was Chief Operating Officer and Head of Distribution for Chartis Companies Japan. Prior to his time at AIG, Mr. Bennett spent nine years with Allstate Insurance Company.
Senior Vice President, Claims
Mr. Taylor is responsible for the strategic and operational execution of the Accident, Health & Life claim organization. Appointed Senior Vice President at Combined Insurance in 2015, he previously worked at Travelers Insurance for more than 20 years where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Business Insurance Operations, Claim Center Vice President, and Vice President of Customer Experience – Claim Marketing.
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Demos joined Combined Insurance in 2001 bringing with him more than 30 years of project management, governance, business analysis and systems development experience in information technology with Aon CSG, CNA, Ameritech and Amoco/BP. In his current role, Mr. Demos is responsible for governance and controls, systems stabilization and management and the customer and agent self-service system.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mrs. Halverson is responsible for developing and applying programs and processes around talent management, recruiting and compensation and leads the human resources team to facilitate and execute general HR activities. She joined Combined Insurance in 2012 bringing with her nearly 20 years of experience in human resources spanning compensation, corporate communication, talent management, succession planning, change management, recruiting, organizational design and performance management. Prior to Combined Insurance, Barbara spent more than 11 years with CNA in a variety of HR roles and also worked for Chicago Title and Trust and Prime Capital Holding.
Mr. Helin is responsible for all legal and compliance matters for Combined Insurance. Prior to assuming this role in 2012, Mr. Helin served as Assistant General Counsel in Global Litigation at ACE, which he joined in 2007. Previously he was a litigator with O’Melveny & Myers and Shook, Hardy & Bacon. Mr. Helin holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State and a law degree from New York Law School.
Steven E. Lippai
Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary
Mr. Lippai has spent his entire career at Combined Insurance, initially joining in 1971. During his time with Combined Insurance, Mr. Lippai has been involved with the complete spectrum of the accident, disability, health and life insurance products. He has managed actuarial functions, service center operations and the development of new initiatives. He currently works to improve product line performance, increase the effectiveness of Combined Insurance business units and develop product strategies for expanding operations. In addition, he initiated and manages the company's Enterprise Risk Management program.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Connole is responsible for the Financial Operations in the United States and Canada. She joined Combined Insurance in January 2016 and brings 16 years of experience in broad technical and commercial roles in the insurance industry as well as strong leadership capabilities. Ms. Connole was the Chubb European Financial Controller in 2006-2009 and had a progressive international career with AIG, RSA Insurance, and Friends of Life Group before returning to Chubb. Ms. Connole also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Burford Capital Ltd.
Senior Vice President, Chief Agency Officer
Mr. Abercrombie has more than 30 years of experience with Combined Insurance. Beginning his career as a sales agent, he quickly moved into various leadership positions and progressed into building sales teams in Ohio, Texas, and throughout the western U.S. In 2007, Mr. Abercrombie was named Director, National Strategy and then SVP, East National Sales Manager. In August of 2012, he was promoted to SVP for the South/SE zone, a position he held until being promoted into his current position as SVP, Chief Agency Officer. In this role, Mr. Abercrombie is responsible for U.S. sales strategy, talent management, and market development and growth.
President, Worksite Solutions
Mr. Martin joined Combined Insurance in June 2011 bringing with him nearly 20 years of experience in management and development of worksite-style businesses including 17 years with Trustmark, a life and health insurer and employee benefits provider. In addition to his extensive experience, Mr. Martin holds a bachelor’s of economics from Yale University and a master’s of management in marketing and organization behavior from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
